VERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE INTACT ROOSEVELT PRESENTATION ALBUM IN A REMARKABLE STATE OF PRESENTATION.

In 1903 the Bureau of Engraving and Printing prepared 85 Roosevelt Presentation albums with small die proofs on white wove paper of all stamps printed to that date. The proofs were artfully arranged in albums, and most of the albums were given to government officials.

Very few Roosevelt Presentation albums remain intact. Most have been cannibalized for collectors demanding specific sets. Of the few remaining intact albums, many have not weathered their century of existence very well, the most common ailments being warped pages, heavily dented edges and broken spines . This album is in an excellent state of preservation and suffers from none of the first two condition problems.
