Niagara"--carried on the Cunarder Niagara, departing Boston Feb. 24, 1858, arriving Liverpool Mar. 9--pencil "1/" one-shilling debit marking, magenta manuscript "f31/4" silbergroschen rate, red "AACHEN 11/3 FRANCO" framed transit datestamp (Mar. 11), backstamped with clear strikes of "Triest Frno 14/3" (Mar. 14) transit, blue "Alexandria AP [?], 1858" transit and "Hong-Kong 7 MY, 1858" receiving datestamps, receipt docketing on back, Very Fine, a scarce example of mail to China via Prussian Closed Mail, ex Bolton
