Sale 1242, Lot 357, Ten-Cent: Type II, Covers (Scott 14)10c Green, Type II (14). Horizontal strip of three, large margins to barely touched at top, tied by "Rochester N.Y. May 1" (1857) circular datestamps on cover to Paris, France, red "New York Paid 12 May 9" 12c credit datestamp, endorsed "S. G. Andrews, M.C." (U.S. congressman from Rochester N.Y.), with original contents, carried on Collins Line Ericsson, departing New York May 9 and arriving Liverpool May 22, red French transit, long vertical scissors-cuts into designs not mentioned on accompanying certificate, still Very Fine, an attractive treaty-rate cover and quite unusual with the congressional franking signature, with 2004 P.S.E. certificate
