Smith, Shreveport La., via Meridian Miss.", stamps additionally tied by Meridian Miss. dateless circular handstamp, manuscript "ppd. 40 cents" at bottom left, cover skillfully restored to remove staining

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXTREMELY RARE EAST-TO-WEST TRANS-MISSISSIPPI EXPRESS COVER, BEARING A PAIR OF THE 20-CENT GENERAL ISSUE TIED BY THE MERIDIAN TERMINUS OFFICE DATESTAMP.
