Price History for US Scott 419 in OGnh 100 Grade
Show Grade on Graph
Show all gradesThree things to keep in mind when looking at the above results (unsolds are not included):
- It is important to look at the individual data points listed below. Price swings up may be due to varieties such as broken hat or other positives such as cancels. Price swings down may be due to factors such as faults on items that would have graded higher if they were sound, and may not be considered as desirable as a sound copy in this grade.
- When looking at multiple grades on the graph, grades with the same population numbers may show overlapping.
- At the time of an auction, the SMQ value has already been published and is available to bidders. Increases or decreases in SMQ value prior to the auction may affect the price realized.

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A STUNNING STAMP GRADED GEM 100 BY P.S.E.
This is the highest grade P.S.E. has assigned this stamp and the only example to achieve this stellar grade.
With 2000 P.F. and 2013 P.S.E. certificates (Gem 100; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 98; SMQ $4,750.00 as 98)

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A PHENOMENAL MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1912 20-CENT PERF 12 SINGLE-LINE WATERMARK ISSUE, GRADED SUPERB 98 JUMBO BY P.S.E. -- EASILY ONE OF THE FINEST IN EXISTENCE.
Ex "Westchester" and "Golden State". With 2006 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $5,750.00). Only one has graded higher (at 100, offered in our 2014 Rarities sale and recently brought $13,500 hammer in the "Golden State" sale) and no others share this grade. The margins on the stamp offered here are noticeably larger than the 100, but measurements must be off a fraction of a millimeter.

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A PHENOMENAL MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1914 20-CENT FRANKLIN, GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E. THIS IS A DIFFICULT ISSUE TO OBTAIN IN SUCH OUTSTANDING CONDITION.
This is the first 20c stamp to be issued in the Washington-Franklin series, and was intended for use especially on parcel post packages after the discontinuance of special stamps for that purpose. It was in use for approximately six months before the perforation gauge was changed from 12 to 10.
With 1999 P.F. and 2006 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $4,750.00). Only two grade higher and one other shares this desirable grade.

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A STUNNING MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1914 20-CENT PERF 12 SINGLE-LINE WATERMARK ISSUE, SCOTT 419, WHICH HAS BEEN GRADED XF-SUPERB 95 BY P.S.E.
With 2009 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $2,050.00). Only four have graded higher to date and nine others share this grade, but this seems to be much more elusive than the numbers would indicate -- the next-highest graded copy we have offered is an 85.
