It is important to look at the individual data points listed below. Price swings up may be due to varieties such as broken hat or other positives such as cancels. Price swings down may be due to factors such as faults on items that would have graded higher if they were sound, and may not be considered as desirable as a sound copy in this grade.
When looking at multiple grades on the graph, grades with the same population numbers may show overlapping.
At the time of an auction, the SMQ value has already been published and is available to bidders. Increases or decreases in SMQ value prior to the auction may affect the price realized.

Mathematically precise centering with unusually wide and balanced margins, radiant color and crisp impression, face-free strike of duplex cancel, long and full perforations all around, Extremely Fine Gem, this is without question one of the finest used examples of this issue in existence, ex Twigg-Smith, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 98, SMQ $500.00 as 98), this is the highest grade awarded to date and only one other example has achieved this grade
1c Panama-Pacific, Perf 10 (401). Lightly cancelled, precise centering, deep rich color, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100; SMQ $470.00 as 98, unpriced in higher grade), one of only two to have achieved this lofty grade with none higher
1c Panama-Pacific, Perf 10 (401). Fabulous Jumbo margins and perfect centering, wavy-line machine cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, a spectacular stamp, with 2011 P.F. and 2007 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $500.00 for 98, unpriced in higher grade), this is the only used example to achieve this grade with only two higher (at 100)
1c Panama-Pacific, Perf 10 (401). Wavy-line machine cancel, fabulous Jumbo margins and perfect centering, Extremely Fine Gem, a spectacular stamp, with 2007 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $570.00 for 98, unlisted in 100 grade), this is the only used example to receive this grade (none higher)
1c Panama-Pacific, Perf 10 (401). Bright shade and crisp impression, perfectly centered, lightly cancelled, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp which is far more difficult to acquire in this grade than the Perf 12 counterpart (397), P.S.E. encapsulated (Superb 98; SMQ $325.00), only three have graded higher with three others equal
