VERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXTREMELY RARE CAPE TRIANGLE DESTINATION COVER FROM THE CAPE OF GOOD HOPE TO JAVA.
The addressee, Alfred August Reed (1817-78), was a merchant from Dorchester, Massachusetts, who made his fortune in the East India trade and served as the United States Consul to Java in the 1850s. From the Magnolia collection

EXTREMELY FINE. A SUPERB AND RARE SET OF IMPRINT BLOCKS OF THE 1932 CENTENARY SET IN THE FINEST QUALITY POSSIBLE.
Imprint blocks of all the King George V Commemorative sets are highly sought after. They are particularly rare and desirable when found in pristine Mint Never-Hinged condition.
The Scott catalogue value of $5,000.00 as four sets does not represent the true value of a set of imprint blocks.

FINE. ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING OF ALL INVERTED CENTERS OF THE WORLD. ONLY ABOUT TWELVE RECORDED.
One sheet was produced with the inverted center and sold at Rarotonga. Many were used and lost to philately forever. J. Edgar Williams recorded twelve examples - eight unused, three used, and one on cover.
Whenever this rarity makes an infrequent appearance at auction it invariably realizes its full catalogue value (and, in some cases, much more). From the Ralph Swap collection. With 1953 B.P.A. certificate. Scott $8,500.00. SG £8,500

VERY FINE. A RARE USE OF THE 1928 2-1/2-PENCE PROVISIONAL TO BUENOS AIRES. ONLY ONE OR TWO ARE KNOWN SENT TO ARGENTINA.
Any cover with the 1928 Provisional is rare. The majority are philatelic, used locally or to England. Heijitz notes only a few are known to foreign countries.
With clear 1970 R.P.S. certificate.

VERY FINE. AN UNUSUALLY FRESH SET OF THE POPULAR 1933 TERCENTENARY.
Scott $4,800.00. SG £4,250
