CANADA, 1897, -1/2c-$5.00 Jubilee, Large Die Proofs (50P1-65P1). Each die sunk on 225 x 151mm card, incredibly fresh and pristine throughout, with radiant proof colors and the cards immaculate on both sides
EXTREMELY FINE. A MAGNIFICENT AND EXTREMELY RARE SET OF LARGE DIE PROOFS OF THE 1897 JUBILEE ISSUE. AN INDISPENSIBLE SET FOR THE SERIOUS JUBILEE SPECIALIST OR COLLECTOR OF CANADIAN PROOFS.
The only complete sets of large die proofs of the Jubilee issue were dispersed in the 1990 sale of the American Bank Note Company archives. It is believed only about twenty complete sets are available to collectors.

Each value on separate matching cover, tied by Ottawa Aug. 10, 1897 Diamond Jubilee flag cancels, addressed locally to James Wood, Esq., stamps and covers are exceedingly fresh, $3.00 cover with trivial scuff at bottom left (correctly not mentioned on certificate)EXTREMELY FINE. AN INCOMPARABLE MATCHED SET OF THE 1897 JUBILEE ISSUE ON INDIVIDUAL COVERS WITH THE DIAMOND JUBILEE CANCEL.
