Williams LLD" directive, original letter datelined "Canton 9th Jany 1853" which mentions Dr. Williams will bring this letter, Dr. James Morrow was the Perry Expedition's agriculturalist/botanist, he left the U.S. for China on board the Vandalia, which departed Philadelphia in early March 1853, so this was written before his arrival, Very Fine, more information about the Morrow correspondence can be found at http://www.baxleystamps.com/
