Seven including No. 7 from Plate 3 tied by New York circular datestamp on folded printed illustrated circular for Swan's Atmospheric Soda Fountain to Lyons N.Y.; five with 3c stamps including one with two pairs used from San Francisco to Sonora Cal. with enclosure datelined at Panama; one with pair of No. 11A from San Francisco to Mass. with red oval "Forwarded bt Chas. Shaw & Co. San Francisco" oval handstamp; No. 11A tied by large red "West Berkshire Vt. Oct. 22" circular datestamp to Fairfax Vt.; No. 11A on folded letter datelined Nantucket Island with "Steamboat" handstamp, stamp tied by New Bedford Mass integral-rate circular datestamp; No. 11A five-lines recut variety on cover; last is No. 17 paying four-times the 3c rate, address partly crossed out, few faults, overall a Fine-Very Fine and diverse group

Better Town Cancels on 3c 1851-57 Issue. Nine, including No. 11 cancelled by black grid on blue folded cover with brown "Charlestown Va. Aug. 27" circular datestamp (2001 APS cert); No. 11A with pen cancel removed and reused from Mayport Mills Fla.; No. 11 used from Tampa to Annapolis Md. with stamp tied by well-struck circular datestamp; No. 11A used from Little Rock Ark. to Ky. with date in circular datestamp added by hand and sent to Owen Weaver who would become the first Confederate soldier from Ark. to die; No. 26 tied by well-struck blue "Rough & Ready Cal. Nov. 25, 1860" circular datestamp to Stockton Cal. (1999 P.F. cert); No. 25 tied by blue "Friars Point Miss. Jul. 2" circular datestamp to New Orleans; three of No. 11A used with No. 9 from Staples Ranch Cal. to Bristol N.H.; last is No. 11 with "Little River Flor. 29th Dec." manuscript postmark to Tallahassee, each selected by the owner for its high quality and strong visual appeal, Very Fine and desirable group

19th Century Collection Balance. Mostly 1c and 3c 1851-57 and 1861-68 issue stamps and more than 60 covers, some of the better covers include three-color 1861 issue franking to England with pair of No. 68 and singles of Nos. 63 and 65, No. 65 on corner card covers including for sewing machine, druggist, wind engine, interesting No. 65 covers with large illustrated design for Elgin Ill. Early 20th Century Advertising Covers. Large box with ten binders of covers mounted one or two to a page, hundreds of covers each with an advertising design, Melvin Getlan collected these companies for association/use of control perfins or private affixing machine perforations but apparently none of the covers bear stamps that actually have these perforations, a great many illustrated designs with some quite elaborate, range of stamp issues, overall Fine hoard

Scott album with wide range of items relating to various expositions, starts with 1776 and includes tickets and a cover, Columbian Exposition includes approximately 35 tickets plus few covers and stamps, Pan-American Exposition includes nice range of covers and cards with some exposition-related, piece with 1c-10c, nice group of labels, few Patriotics, few later items such as Alaska-Yukon ticket, few 1933 Century of Progress items, few others, some faults, many Fine-Very Fine, a diverse group

Accumulation of over 80 covers or cards, including nice group to foreign destinations such as 8c and 13c to Finland, a censored use to France which was forwarded several times, 5c to Syria, group of 1c on wrappers with newspapers still inside, few other interesting, some faults, overall Fine-Very Fine

Box with four stuffed binders of covers, very wide range of years and uses in no particular order, some more interesting we note include lots of Pan-American and Louisiana Purchase covers, some early stampless and many classic 1851-69 era covers including some larger 3c frankings, Columbian including 5c to Syria and 10c to Germany, interesting philatelic combination use of 2c Columbians, Trans-Mississippi, Louisiana Purchase, Alaska-Yukon and a revenue stamp, a number of unused entires and others, very mixed condition especially on the classic covers, still plenty of useful material to be found
