EXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1852 25-CENTESIMI BLACK ON VIOLET, ESPECIALLY WITH FULL MARGINS.
Most surviving examples are often touching on at least one side due to the narrow spacing between stamps in the setting. To find one with original gum and full margins, despite the minute thin specks, is a major rarity.
