Sale 1259, Lot 4604, Great Britain and Offices AbroadGREAT BRITAIN, 1704 letter from the Isle of Man. Folded letter datelined "Port St. Mary 7 Ap - 1704", carried to Amsterdam, where it was charged 3 stuivers, and delivered to London on May 29, where it was charged 8 pence, Very Fine, the earliest recorded postal item from the Isle of Man, there was no regular postal service on the Isle of Man until 1765, mail outside the island had to rely on passing packet boats, which is why this cover ended up going through Amsterdam on its way to London

Sale 1259, Lot 4612, Great Britain and Offices AbroadGREAT BRITAIN, ca. 1981 Unadopted Essay for the International Year of the Disabled Issue. Composite drawings of 32 different vignettes, sixteen of which are in watercolor, the other sixteen in pencil, on wove paper measuring 228 x 304mm, completed by well-known artist Andrew Restall with his signature at top left, with values ranging from 9p-13p

VERY FINE AND UNIQUE HAND-DRAWN UNADOPTED ESSAYS BY ANDREW RESTALL FOR THE 1981 INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF THE DISABLED ISSUE.

Drawn and prepared by Andrew Restall who was an accomplished artist credited with designing numerous Great Britain postage stamps from 1964-1983. The issue was ultimately designed by J. Gibbs (Scott 937-940; SG 1147-1150).
