May 9, 1862" double-circle datestamp on brown 12-Star Flag with Cannon and Verse Patriotic with Elongated Flag (CN-3, Verse 5) cover to Madison Ga., very minor and skillful restoration around edges to reduce wear, stamp lifted to lighten gum soaks in margins and replaced - this cosmetic improvement took place after certification, and the cover may be seen in its original condition in the certificate photo, proving that the cover and stamp are in excellent condition

VERY FINE. ONE OF THE FEW PATRIOTIC COVERS KNOWN WITH THE 10-CENT CARMINE. AN OUTSTANDING EXHIBITION ITEM.
