VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A PRISTINE AND DESIRABLE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE RARE 1860 2-1/2-PENCE ORANGE ROSE. THIS WAS THE FIRST JOINT ISSUE BETWEEN BRITISH COLUMBIA & VANCOUVER ISLAND.

This stamp was printed but never placed into use. While listed in Scott and Unitrade, Stanley Gibbons considers this an imperforate plate proof.
