EXTREMELY FINE ENTIRE OF THE RARE 3-CENT POST OFFICE OFFICIAL ON WHITE PAPER. NO MORE THAN FIVE ARE KNOWN.

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. AN EXTREMELY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT BLUE ON BLUE POST OFFICE DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL ENTIRE. ONLY THREE EXIST IN THIS SIZE.
The UPSS Catalog reports three mint entires in this size, one with round gum on the top flap and two with square gum. A total of only three combined are reported in the larger sizes (sizes 10, 21 and 25, each with stains or toned). This is a key item to a complete postal stationery or Officials collection.
With clear 2002 P.F. certificate. UPSS value $31,500.00
EXTREMELY FINE ENTIRE OF THE RARE 6-CENT POST OFFICE OFFICIAL ON WHITE PAPER. NO MORE THAN FIVE EXIST.
The UPSS Catalog estimates that no more than five exist. Power Search lists only one other offered in our sales -- the ex "Scarsdale" copy which has toning. This is certainly the finest example we have encountered.
UPSS value $4,200.00
VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 1873 6-CENT DARK RED ON CREAM WAR DEPARTMENT REAY ENTIRE.
The UPSS catalogue records only six mint entires, plus four used. Full corners and cut squares are also very rare -- the last cut square we offered realized $3,000 hammer in one of our 2020 sales.
UPSS value $7,500.00.
EXTREMELY FINE. A SUPERB AND EXTREMELY RARE MINT ENTIRE OF THE 2-CENT VERMILION WAR DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL. ONLY THREE ARE RECORDED. A KEY RARITY OF POSTAL STATIONERY AND OFFICIALS COLLECTING.
The UPSS Catalog estimates that three entires exist. We have not offered another example in our sales over the past 30 years or in our Rarities sales since 1964.
VERY FINE APPEARANCE. ONLY THREE MINT CUT SQUARES AND NO ENTIRES ARE RECORDED OF THE ONE-CENT RED ON ORANGE WAR DEPARTMENT PLIMPTON ISSUE. A GREAT RARITY AND A KEY TO AN ADVANCED COLLECTION OF POSTAL STATIONERY OR OFFICIALS.
The UPSS Catalog records three cut squares of this issue and no entires. The second example, ex "Scarsdale" and Inman (Sale 1135, lot 718), is cut much closer, though clear of the indicia and has small thin spots. The third example has margins similar to the example offered here and was offered in our 1971 Rarities sale. We do not know the condition of that cut square.
With 1998 P.F. certificate.
