EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A STUNNING USED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1847 ISSUE WITH RICH COLOR AND A RAZOR-SHARP EARLY IMPRESSION.

Based on the color, impression and blue town datestamp, we classify this as an Early Impression Dark Brown from the First Printing, and it was probably used from Philadelphia.

Ex "Scarsdale" and Gorham. With 2003 P.F. certificate as "Brown".
