U348-U351), tied by oval registry cancels to H. Platen & Son in New York, purple "New York N.Y. Aug. 12, 1893" with registry numbers in sequence from 43612 thru 43615, each with light vertical file fold affecting some stamps including 50c and $4.00

VERY FINE. A RARE AND COLORFUL SET OF THE COLUMBIAN ISSUE ON THE FOUR ENTIRES ISSUED FOR THE EXPOSITION.

One cover also contains the 10c Orange Special Delivery (E3) stamp, which was also issued for the exhibition. This interesting set contains every stamp and entire issued for the Columbian Exposition.
