VERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE FRANKING COMBINING THE 2-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE WITH THE 24-CENT AND 30-CENT F GRILL STAMPS ON A COVER TO INDIA FROM THE BISSELL CORRESPONDENCE.

The stamps pay the double 28c rate by British Mail via Southampton. The red crayon "36/2" is incorrect unless this was actually sent via Marseilles but accepted as fully paid for double the 36c rate.
