Comprising four panes each of Nos. 405b and 406a, fresh front cover without creasing, just a bit of minor staple rust, back cover single light crease and some toning, appears Very Fine, a rare complete booklet which was the first combination booklet issued, the famous Beutel collection contained only a partial example of this booklet

Sale 1247, Lot 570, 1912-14 Washington-Franklin Issue (Scott 405-423)1c Green, Kansas City Roulette (408 var). Mint N.H. block of six with right selvage, imperforate between vertically where it shows absolutely no trace of the roulette wheel, Very Fine and choice, we have only encountered one other which is imperforate between in one direction (ex Hansen, Sale 963, lot 977), each stamp with impressed "WCM" or "ERM" initials in pencil, in December 1914, the Kansas City post office had an oversupply of imperforate stamps, originally intended for vending machines, the supply of stamps was rouletted with women's dressmaking tracing wheels, and official approval for their release was given by Washington, with 1994 P.F. certificate

Mint N.H., rich color on bright paper, Jumbo margins, Extremely Fine, this is a classic example of a stamp with wider margins than normally seen (so a rarity in that respect) but that would probably not grade highly, with 2005 P.F. and 2006 P.S.E. certificates
