VERY FINE. A TRULY REMARKABLE ORIGINAL GUM COMPLETE PANE OF 56 OF THE 20-CENTESIMOS SURCHARGE IN THE UNISSUED BRICK RED SHADE SHOWING THE DOUBLE SURCHARGE AND MISSING SURCHARGE ERRORS. THIS IS THE ONLY KNOWN COMPLETE PANE AND ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEMS OF THE SURCHARGED ESCUDITOS ISSUE IN EXISTENCE.
Prior to it's discovery and sale in 2009, this item was completely unknown to Uruguayan experts and collectors of the past such as Hoffmann & Lee. Ex Sciarra. Signed Bolaffi.
