Any 1924 use of the first issue is rare. Hellrigl recorded only five covers.

VERY FINE AND RARE COMMERCIAL SINGLE FRANKING OF THE 1-TUGRIK STAMP.

This registration handstamp, unrecorded by Hellrigl, has a normal "R" as the type typically seen during this period, but with large space between "Mongolia" and bottom frameline, identical to the later type listed by Hellrigl from 1931 onward. Coincidentally, the Mizuhara collection included an example on a September 1928 cover to Norway.
