FINE APPEARANCE. THIS IS THE LARGEST RECORDED MULTIPLE OF THE 2-PENCE ON WOVE PAPER IN PRIVATE HANDS. THIS MULTIPLE COMPRISES ABOUT A THIRD OF THE CARBON EXAMPLES AVAILABLE.
A total of 120 carbon examples were printed (plus 48 top impressions) with 31 remainders destroyed (likely a mixture of impressions). Gibbs records about 70 unused examples which incl. a sheet of 24 from plate 2 in the National Postal Museum. Therefore, this is the largest multiple in private hands of either impression, the next largest a block of eight (ex "Mountrobeck").

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A REMARKABLE MULTIPLE WHICH CONTAINS FOUR OF THE SIX UNUSED EXAMPLES IN PRIVATE HANDS OF THE 2-1/2-PENCE ON WOVE PAPER FROM THE TOP IMPRESSION.
Only one sheet of 24 was printed of the top impression. It is unknown if any of the remainders destroyed were from the top impression. Gibbs records only seven unused examples with one of those in the Royal Collection. This is the only recorded multiple.

VERY FINE AND RARE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 2-1/2-PENCE BLUE ON WOVE PAPER. ONLY TEN EXAMPLES IN ANY CONDITION ARE AVAILABLE IN PRIVATE HANDS.
Only one sheet of 24 was printed with no remainders destroyed. All examples are recorded though fourteen are institutionalized with a block of twelve in the National Postal Museum and pair in the Royal Collection. Of the ten in private hands, four are contained in a block (ex "Mountrobeck"). This is the unique example showing the extra dot outside frame.

VERY FINE APPEARING EXAMPLE OF THE 6-PENCE BLACK ON WOVE WITH THE "RVENNE &" FOR "REVENUE" ERROR. OF THE THREE PRINTED, ONLY TWO EXAMPLES ARE RECORDED.
This occurred on pos. 13 from plate 3 and only three sheets were printed. Of the three possible, just two examples are recorded. The other example is contained in a block of four (ex "Mountrobeck") and is also affected by creasing.

A total of 144 carbon copy examples were printed (plus 48 top impressions) with 40 remainders destroyed. Gibbs records 66 unused examples with this as one of two blocks of eight recorded (the other example is Lot 218). Of the three possible "PENCC" errors printed, two are recorded (the other in a block of four).
