Postal service was suspended directly after this flight while negotiations occurred between the Soviet Postal Administration and the Hamiata Company over services between China and Germany via Russia. Service resumed beginning in April 1940.

As World War II began to break out and the Japanese invading, this flight was meant to speed up communication between China and Germany being routed through Russia. This flight lasted from April 1940 unily July 1941 after the German Army began their invasion of Russia.
