FINE. THIS IS THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THE L’ARDOISE CROWN HANDSTAMP. A MAJOR CROWN HANDSTAMP RARITY AND KEY ITEM FOR ANY NOVA SCOTIA POSTAL HISTORY COLLECTION.

As this marking was not produced by the Post Office, it is believed to have been made locally by the postmaster of L’Ardoise as a way marking.
