Position 10R1L, recut twice at bottom, original gum, huge top right corner sheet margins, large bottom margin showing part of adjoining stamp, just barely in along left ornaments, dark shade, bright and fresh paper, light wrinkle in selvage not mentioned on certificate, Very Fine and choice, an outstanding original-gum example from this fascinating position, 10R on Plate 1 Early is listed in the Scott U.S. Specialized Catalogue under No. 7 as "Design complete at top (10R1E only)" with a value of $2,000.00 used (vs. $150.00 for the usual No. 7) and unpriced in unused condition, the stamp offered here is 10R on Plate 1 Late after recutting, this position also has the complete design at top but the Scott Catalogue does not list it in recut state, ex Hansen, with 2001 P.F. certificate
