VERY FINE AND RARE NATIONAL BANK NOTE COMPANY LIBERTY HEAD POSTAL CARD ESSAY.
This typographed essay contains the same design elements as the 1c UX1E-W essays, but with the Liberty head indicia instead of the 1870 stamp issue Franklin head. This has been attributed to National Bank Note Co. manager James MacDonough.
Ex Toppan and Worthington.
