STILL VERY FINE IMPERFORATE BETWEEN PAIR OF THE 1918 2-CENT RED CROSS SEMI-POSTAL. ONE OF THE RAREST ERRORS OF NORTH BORNEO WITH TEN PAIRS POSSIBLE, OF WHICH ONLY FOUR PAIRS HAVE BEEN RECORDED.

One pair resides in the Royal Collection, a block of four (two pairs, ex "Walter Bickly") and this example are known. This issue was sent from London in three stages. Two shipments were lost at sea due to enemy action. They were sold at a 2c premium which went to the Red Cross Society.
