Franklin mark on small folded letter to New York, Very Fine and reported to be the earliest example of the second type of "Free" handstamp used at Boston, third free frank at top of Feb. 4, 1804 datelined folded letter, red "Boston Ms. Feb. 12" circular datestamp and matching "Free" handstamp and addressed to Norwich Conn., some slight edgewear and internal foxing, appears Very Fine, reported to be the latest recorded use of the second type "Free" handstamp
