Netherlands and Colonies Used Collection. To about 1950 on Schaubek pages, Netherlands includes a little specialized group of the First Issue, later 10-gulden values and complete sets, good value in Colonies, with several scarce stamps, particularly from Netherlands Indies, which includes the two Postage Due stamps on piece, the Marine Insurance set, which is very difficult to find used, and a strong showing of Japanese Occupation stamps, including many non-Scott listed, majority Fine-Very Fine, definitely not your standard Netherlands and Colonies collection lot

Majority is semi-postal sets from the 1920s and 1930s, including syncopated perfs, most are blocks of four, nearly all Mint N.H., a few later items such as three sets of the 1942 Legion souvenir sheets, Fine-Very Fine, carefully catalogued by Scott (as singles) at over $5,800.00

To about 1950 on Schaubek pages, some high cataloguing Chalon heads, such as 1855 Yellow Green (three full margins, cut in at bottom), later high values including 1878 2sh and 5sh, Definitive sets to 5sh Mt. Cook, 1913 Auckland Exhibition set, Back-of-Book, with Postal-fiscal (which have a mix of postal and fiscal cancels), Officials, and Life Insurance stamps, slightly mixed condition, though many of the better stamps are Fine-Very Fine

Portuguese Colonies Used Collection. On Schaubek pages, good representation of all colonies, better early stamps, and later sets, such as Azores 1895 St. Anthony of Padua complete, Macao is the strongest, with better 20th Century stamps such as Scott Nos. 162, 163, 198, and C13 with World's Fair overprint, the early stamps are in slightly mixed condition, but better than usually found, 20th Century largely Fine-Very Fine, would make a nice start for further expansion

On Schaubek pages, includes Hejaz, Nejd, a little bit of Kingdom, and some Yemen, dozens of Hejaz, with many cataloguing over $100.00 each, and several cataloguing many hundreds of dollars (the Hejaz alone was stated to catalogue in excess of $20,000.00 though there could be mistakes), Nejd includes No. 30-34 with Holcombe certificate, mainly Fine-Very Fine, we recommend careful inspection
