Canadian Provinces - Newfoundland Mostly Unused Collection. Laid out in a small stockbook, some early imperforate stamps including Nos. 12 and 13, this period the stamps are often no gum, after that nearly all have original gum, including better such as 1865 5c Brown and 1876-79 Roulette set of four, this period has some duplication (sometimes unused and used) and a few varieties such as imprint copies and proofs, 1897 onwards contains all of the complete sets, also Air Post issues and the Postage Due set, plus a few blocks including Nos. C6-C8 in Mint N.H. blocks of four, earliest stamps in slightly mixed quality (but includes Very Fine), later issues largely Fine-Very Fine, overall a desirable collection of this popular area

Canadian Provinces - Newfoundland Assortment. Dozens of better unused items that were purchased individually at auction (often at hundreds of dollars each), much of the value in blocks, starting with several from the 1861-62 Issue, including sheet-margin blocks, later blocks including No. 34 block of six, some varieties, such as imperforate or part-perforate, 1897 Cabot set with "Specimen" handstamps, some straightforward sets or singles, such as four 1933 Balbo Air Post, a couple airmail covers, there may be a few minor flaws, but overwhelmingly Fine-Very Fine, a highly saleable group of this popular area

Canadian Provinces Used Collection. On Schaubek pages, British Columbia includes No. 17 with Greene Foundation certificate, New Brunswick includes No. 2 (B.P.A. certificate) and No. 3 (cut in, Gratton certificate), Nova Scotia includes a Very Fine example of No. 5 (Sismondo certificate), and No. 7 (three margins, Greene Foundation certificate), the strongest province is Newfoundland, with some higher cataloging stamps from the first two issues, such as Nos. 4, 5, 7, 8 (all with certificates) and an attractive four-margin example of the rare 1-shilling orange (No. 15) with Richter certificate, later 20th Century sets, Air Posts including No. C18 on cover, and more, condition is somewhat mixed, though the higher value stamps are usually sound (none of the certificates mention any faults), overall a worthwhile collection that should be inspected

New Brunswick 1851 3p (one unused, four used including a pair) and 1sh Red Violet used, Newfoundland used 1860 4p and 6p (two), and Nova Scotia 1857 Dark Green unused, mixed condition, either with margins in on one or more sides, or with faults, Newfoundland stamps with Very Fine appearance, two certificates accompany, Scott Retail in excess of $25,000.00

Canada Valuable Holding. Several dozen items that were purchased individually at auction, often for several hundred dollars each, 1851 to 1920s, early stamps mostly used, 1851 Issue contains four singles and a pair of 3p, and five 6p in various shades, 1852-55 Issue has several 3p including pairs, two 6p, and two 10p, one of which appears unused, later 19th Century contains Small Queens in imperforate pairs, unused Jubilees include four $1.00, three $4.00, and three $5.00, later issues include blocks and imperforate varieties, early issues in slightly mixed quality, though most are four-margin and of Very Fine appearance, many of the later issues are Very Fine, overall a saleable group of better stamps

Canada Used Collection. To about 1950 on Schaubek pages, the better items were purchased at auction and in much nicer condition than usually found, including No. 1, choice four-margin example of No. 2 with Sismondo certificate, two shades of No. 5 (one on cover, both with certificates), Nos. 7, 9 (certificate), 12, 16 (faint crease, with certificate), good run of Large Queens including 3c on laid paper, Jubilees complete, the $5.00 well-centered with purple Winnipeg cancels and P.F. certificate, most of the 20th Century stamps present including Back-of-Book, as mentioned the higher value stamps are often in Very Fine condition, the lesser valued stamps in somewhat mixed quality

Canada High Quality Unused Collection. In three Lighthouse albums, a few Large Queens, Small Queens include a Mint N.H. 2c Green Montreal printing with jumbo margins, useful selection of late Queen Victoria issues, solid group of Admirals, including coils in pairs, all of the Commemorative and Definitive sets from the 1920s and 1930s, and virtually all of the modern issues to 1999, also Air Posts, Postage Dues, Officials, and War Tax stamps, also some loose including booklets, the collector chose stamps for centering and freshness, so the vast majority are Very Fine and many Extremely Fine, a high percentage Mint N.H., 35 P.F. certificates accompany

Ceylon Used Collection. To about 1950 on Schaubek pages, value in early imperforate stamps, including 1859 4p (Sismondo certificate), 8p, and 9p (P.F. certificate), and the 1857 -1/2p on bluish paper (Holcombe certificate), these are sound and have close margins (as usual) and may just touch in one place, later 19th Century with some perf and shade varieties, some surcharged stamps such as 1885 10c on 64c with Brandon certificate, 20th Century includes some better Rupee values, somewhat mixed condition, though the better stamps were purchased at auction and are generally Fine-Very Fine
