Jul. 12, 1858" circular datestamp on cover to Austin Tex., addressed to "Swantee Palm", another name for Swen Jaensson, a Swedish immigrant who served as postmaster of La Grange and Austin at different times, the small envelope has a printed woodcut illustration of soldiers in front of building with mounted officer and U.S. flag, "J.W.O.P.P." imprint at bottom, missing backflap, Very Fine, a beautiful and rare design that we have not encountered before, this is probably a depiction of a military academy in La Grange
