Apr. 10" circular datestamp on captured "Confederate States of America, Assistant Quartermaster's Department, Official Business" imprint which has been altered to read "United" and with manuscript "Richmond Va. Apr. 8th, 1865" below imprint, to Hartford Conn., slight wear, Very Fine, Richmond fell to Union forces on April 3, just a few days before this was sent
