VERY FINE. ONE OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING COVERS BEARING THE 5-CENT RICHMOND TYPOGRAPH ISSUE.

The 5c Local print is one of the most common Confederate stamps on cover. However, large multiples on cover are scarce and this block of ten, on a standard-size cover with violet town cancels is truly remarkable and has graced some of the most important early Confederate collections.

Ex Moody, Finney, Antrim and Weatherly. Acquired by the Kilbournes in a trade with Earl Weatherly in 1964
