VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1912 2-CENT LAKE. VERY FEW ARE KNOWN.
Through an error at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, a small quantity of this stamp was erroneously printed using the inks in use at the time for the Postage Due issues.
Ex Killien and "Golden Oak". With 2001 P.F. and 2006 P.S.E. certificates (VF 80; SMQ $4,500.00). This is the only P.S.E. graded example of this issue.
