VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE UNUSED TETE-BECHE PAIR OF THE 1864 2-CENT NUMERAL ISSUE ON LAID PAPER. THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST OF THE VARIOUS TETE-BECHE MULTIPLES.

Using our Power Search, we were only able to locate two other pairs, a block containing two pairs and a pane of ten.

Horizontal block of six with wide part imprint selvage at left, original gum, few h.r., deep shade, centered to bottom with perfs just touching on bottom right stamp only, strong overprints, light gum toning at bottom of block

VERY FINE. AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE BLOCK OF SIX OF THE 1893 12-CENT DOUBLE RED OVERPRINT. THIS IS THE LARGEST KNOWN MULTIPLE.

Only two sheets of the 12c were doubly overprinted in red. A review of Power Search and important name sales going back 60 years failed to find another multiple larger than a block of four.

HAWAII, 1894, 6c Red, 18c Black, Kahului Railroad Issues. 25 full sheets of 6c, 30 full sheets of 18c, plus other partial sheets and blocks of both values, without gum as usual, some perf separation and selvage flaws as would be expected, Fine-Very Fine, an unusually large hoard of these, the six values of the Kahului Railroad stamps were printed by lithography by the American Bank Note Co. in late 1894, sheets of the 6c and 18c were discovered in a safe in the 1930's and distributed to the philatelic community
