FINE. A RARE UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 1857 PERFORATED ONE-CENT TYPE Ia.
Type Ia was produced by only 18 of the 20 bottom-row positions on Plate 4. The stamp offered here is desirable since it shows all the type characteristics in the selvage.
With copy of 1974 P.F. certificate for a vertical strip of three. With 2015 P.S.A.G. certificate

FINE-VERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE SOUND MULTIPLE OF THE 1857 ONE-CENT TYPE Ia WITH THE CURL ON SHOULDER VARIETY.
With 2002 P.F. certificate. Scott Retail as two singles with pen cancels

EXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL SOUND, CENTERED AND LIGHTLY-CANCELLED USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1857 ONE-CENT BLUE TYPE III FROM PLATE 4.
Due to the narrow vertical spacing on this plate, stamps are most typically found with the perforations impinging on some portion of the design. The example offered here is centered so that the type characteristics are clearly visible.
With 2008 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $4,850.00). Only five have been graded higher (all at 95)

FINE AND SCARCE USED BLOCK OF THE 1857 3-CENT PERFORATED TYPE I WITH A BLUE TOWN CANCEL.
Blocks of this stamp, either used or unused, are quite scarce and many of the examples we have encountered have pen cancels.
With 2013 P.S.A.G. certificate
