EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A PHENOMENAL MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 16-CENT ON 8-CENT OFFICES IN CHINA IN THE OLIVE GREEN SHADE, WITH JUMBO CENTERED MARGINS, BRILLIANT COLOR, GORGEOUS PERFS AND GREAT OVERALL EYE APPEAL. THIS IS WITHOUT QUESTION ONE OF THE FINEST IN EXISTENCE.

Ex Dr. Killien. With 1992 and 2006 P.F. certificates (Superb 98 Jumbo). This is the highest grade awarded by the P.F. and none share it. By way of comparison, only one shares this grade in the P.S.E. Population Report and only one grades higher (at 100). The highest grade awarded to the K8 basic shade is 98. EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE OF THE 24-CENT OFFICES IN CHINA ISSUE IN THE FINEST CONDITION ATTAINABLE. THIS STAMP IS GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E., WHICH IS THE HIGHEST GRADE AWARDED. IT IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE TO ACHIEVE THIS GRADE.

This stamp is the second most difficult in the series to obtain with such outstanding centering. It is often the last stamp needed to complete the set by collectors.

Ex "Scarsdale". With 1999 P.F. and 2004 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $3,000.00). This is the highest grade awarded and the only example to achieve it. The next highest grade is 95 (two copies) followed by 90. The highest grade for the K11a shade is 95.

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. THIS IS WITHOUT QUESTION THE FINEST MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 30-CENT ON 15-CENT OFFICES IN CHINA ISSUE WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED. IT POSSESSES WONDERFUL COLOR, PERFECT CENTERING, FRESH PAPER, LONG AND EVEN PERFORATIONS AND TREMENDOUS OVERALL APPEAL. THE P.S.E. GEM 100 JUMBO GRADE IS THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE, AND THIS STAMP IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE TO ACHIEVE IT.

With 2010 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 100, SMQ $7,250.00 as 100). This is the highest grade possible on the grading chart and no other K12's share it. As an additional indication of the difficulty in obtaining this in higher grades, the next-highest grades are 100 (one), 98 (one) and 95J (three).

With 2002 and 2005 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $6,250.00). Only one has graded higher (at 98) and five others share this grade. We have never offered the example graded 98 in our auctions, and we have offered only one of the other 95's, over three years ago. It is truly rare in this condition.
