Hand-written Imperial Decree letter to the Court Office dated July 1, 1762 at St. Petersburg commissioning palace servants, written in Russian, bold and clear signature at bottom, Extremely Fine, born Sophie Augusta Fredericka of Anhalt-Zerbst and otherwise known as Catherine II of Russia (1729-1796), she came to power following a coup in which her husband, Peter III, was assassinated, she is the most renowned and longest-ruling female leader of Russia during the widely considered Golden Age of modernization along Western European lines

Page measuring 9 x 14-1/2, dated July 10, 1744, giving authority to the Ambassador Extraordinary of the King of Denmark, to receive 10,000 pounds as promised to Prince Frederick, husband of George II's daughter, Princess Louisa, some separations at folds mended with tape, not affecting signature which is at top left, also with three embossed revenues (one affected by fold), Fine, George II (1683-1760) was the last monarch born outside of Great Britain (in Germany where he was raised) and the last to lead an army in battle (Battle of Dettingen), often associated with his mistresses and short temper, he was also accomplished in foreign policy due to his European roots

Isabella I (1451-1504) was married to Ferdinand II or Aragon, with their grandson (Holy Roman Emperor Charles V) which was the basis of the unification of Spain. Best known for their financing of Columbus' 1492 voyage that lead to the opening of the New World and Spain as the first true global power.
