Austria Specialized 19th Century Collection. Offered intact as received, comprises the first two issues of both Austria and Lombary-Venetia, with shades, varieties and especially cancels, the varieties incl. Lombardy-Venetia 1850 5c printed on both sides strip of three (Raybaudi certificate), but the main focus is on cancels, with hundreds identified by Mueller numbers, several with Mueller points in the hundreds, a few over 1,000 and as high as 2,100, incl. cancels from Poland, Romania, Hungary and Czechoslovakia, condition is mixed as expected, the important cancels are usually clear and well-struck, overall a very desirable collection of this popular field, Scans of the entire collection (7.7MB) can be found on our website beneath the lot description

Austria First Issue Cancellation Group. 23 items, all with different cancels incl. some with Mueller high points and some fancy straight-lines, all are tied to piece and show the complete cancellation, eleven are a 1kr and 2kr one one piece, one 3kr and 6kr on one piece, others are singles or multiples on a single stamp, one is from the Second Issue (five 3kr Green) cancellations are all clear and well-struck, stamps may have a few small flaws, generally Very Fine, an exceptionally attractive and eye-appealing lot for the specialist, Scans of the entire collection (1.0MB) can be found on our website beneath the lot description

Incl. stamps, revenues, covers and cards, with two sets of "Bullseyes", plus an additional two 60r (one with A.P.S. certificate), each with large margins all around, plus some examples onwards as late as the early 20th century, covers from stampless period onwards to fairly modern, well over 50 used and unused postal cards and "Carta Bilhete", most with a focus on Diamantina cancels (in Minas Gerais and famous for their diamonds), mostly Very Fine

Brazil Unused Balance. 1844-1889, contains Scott Nos. 7-9, 37-40, 61-98, and P1-P24, plus there are a few varieties not counted in the catalogue value, most are no gum as is often the case with 19th Century Brazil, some minor flaws incl. a small number with toning, otherwise Fine-Very Fine appearance, sixteen Meyer certificates accompany, Scott Retail (not counting the RHM-listed varieties) is about $6,000.00

Housed in two large and well-filled Scott albums to the late 1960s, with areas such as Barbados, British Guiana, Canada and Provinces, Falkland Islands, St. Vincent, Trinidad, and more, incl. some attractive classics and plenty of saleable sets from George V thru Elizabeth II period, much of the 20th century unused, much being Fine-Very Fine, a wonderful collection from which to continue and certainly deserving of close scrutiny
