Ryukyu Islands Cover Lot. With 19 commercial covers from 1950, most of which are homemade covers (incl. one turned), later commercial uses, 1948 first flight cover from Okinawa, over 100 first day covers incl. some better complete sets, 113 postal cards mostly from the late 1950s collected for different town cancels, about 80 of them also have the town's parcel roller cancelling a stamp on reverse, and nearly 300 on piece with a nice variety of town cancels (over 90 different Post Offices), majority Very Fine

Over 200 stamps housed on stock pages in an album, mostly unused with original gum, a few used, begins with 1916 First Issue onwards into the overprint period and the Jedda Issues, much of the value is in errors and varieties such as inverted and double overprints, date omitted in overprint and imperfs with catalogue values to £900, incl. SG 21a, 25a, 35a, 64a, 104e, D88, 117, D93a among many others, these items amongst others are signed and many plated by John Wilson, the catalogue value exceeds £14,000 in Stanley Gibbons, mostly Very Fine, a rare grouping certified by respected authorities in the Hejaz
