Scott lists this essay in two formats -- single color in Carmine or Blue, and three colors, in Black with Red Violet wavy line overprint and Blue-Green lined vignette. This bicolor format is not listed. We have not offered any examples of the 2c George T. Jones essay since our 1999 Finkelburg sale and have never before come across this variety. The Scott Retail value has not changed since before the Finkelburg example realized $3,500 sixteen years ago
