France 19th Century Collection. France Collection. To the 1960s in three stockbooks, early issues mainly used and incl. some duplication, with higher cataloging stamps such as 1849 15c Green (three), 1849 1Fr Carmine (five singles and a pair), 1853 1Fr Lake (two) and 1869 5Fr Napoleon (three), a folded letter franked by 1849 1Fr and three 10c, plus there is some unused in this period, as well as Reprints, the 20th Century is mostly unused, with better sets from the period, incl. Commemorative, Definitives, Semi-Postals complete incl. an extra used copy of the 1917 5FR+5Fr, Air Post incl. two examples of the first set and both 1936 50Fr stamps, all the early souvenir sheets incl. five copies of the PEXIP sheet, a few booklet panes, also Postage Dues, Newspaper Stamps, Alsace-Lorraine, Offices in Turkey, General French Colonies stamps incl. 1859 10c Pair, one Sideways, and some better cancellations, also a few proofs and other material, condition is somewhat mixed, though overall better than what is often encountered, the early stamps mostly with four margins, Fine-Very Fine appearance

Hundreds of unused or used stamps in a stockbook, Eagle issue incl. unused singles and some blocks incl. two 80c, also strip of four of 20c with double impression, plus there are a large number of used singles and pairs, with many premium cancels, incl. Great Britain 1864 1p Red Specialized Collection. The collector first picked cancels by city (incl. Manchester, Liverpool, Dublin, Edinburgh and Glasgow) or cancel type, then tried to get every plate number with that cancellation, in many cases the plate numbers are nearly complete for that cancel, there are over 1,500 stamps total, typical mixed quality, it would take a lot of time and effort to try to replicate this collection

Nearly 200 covers focusing on the German Occupation of Jersey and Guernsey during World War II, incl. some Great Britain stamps used during 1940 and 1941, incl. several bisect usages of the 2p stamps, then there are a large number of covers with the Coat of Arms stamps, incl. many scarcer commercial used, also some first day covers and other philatelic items, also some covers with the 1943-44 Jersey Views stamps, incl. some mixed frankings with German stamps, also some Red Cross letters used from the Channel Islands and other associated ephemera, also some earlier used of Great Britain stamps from the Channel Islands, and some off-cover stamps incl. an imperforate pair and more modern unused Jersey and Guernsey stamps, Fine-Very Fine, an excellent basis on which to form a specialized collection of these historically fascinating issues
