EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE CENTER GUTTER BLOCK OF FOUR OF THIS SPECIAL PRINTING IN WHICH A MERE FOURTEEN EXAMPLES ARE AVAILABLE TO COLLECTORS.

The Scott Catalogue notes that fifteen uncut sheets of 120 were overprinted with the "50th Anniversary 1934-1984" and sold for $2,000 apiece. Fourteen were sold and one was donated to the Smithsonian National Postal Museum. This is one of fourteen center gutter blocks available to collectors.

With 1987 P.F. certificate for the sheet stating that this came from sheet 13 of 15 and 1992 P.S.E. certificate for the block

Hunting Permit Plate Block Balance. Neatly arraigned in a Lighthouse album, incl. Nos. RW14, RW16-7, RW19, RW24, RW32-RW78, also with some additional material such as Nos. RW74 partial press sheet in positional pieces, 75th Anniversary sheetlet (RW75 footnote), and RW72A-RW73A, spot check shows all to be Mint N.H., some may have the typical light bend or skip but overwhelmingly Very Fine-Extremely Fine, what sets this balance apart from other collections is the overall high quality nature in which these were collected with a focus on centering and condition
