VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THIS IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1856 ISSUE WITH THE YANKEE JIM'S DATESTAMP CANCEL. EXAMPLES USED FROM ANY POST OFFICE OTHER THAN NEW ORLEANS ARE SCARCE, AND THIS PAIR FROM THE WEST COAST IS RARE.
