This error booklet was discovered by the collector in an unopened post office pack of booklets. The pack contained one other error booklet, which was offered in our 1996 Rarities of the World sale. In addition to these two, the Laila collection (Siegel Sale 974, lot 865) contained a complete booklet. We believe these three comprise the entire population of complete booklets in existence. Only 24 panes were issued in total, which would have been six complete booklets.

The census compiled by Geoffrey Brewster and published in Possessions lists 5 known examples of the 1p used on cover (plus one stated to be possibly fake). One other cover (ex Plass) has this same combination of stamps.
