1930, 1c Red & Black (M3). Block of 20 with perforations on all sides, without gum as issued, lacks either the top or bottom row to be a complete sheet of 25, this is an unusual printing since there are no straight edges (normally there would be straight edges on two sides), in addition the perforation holes are more clean-cut than typically seen, "Cleveland Bond " watermark across the second row, Very Fine, we don't know if this is one of the sheets from the reported printing of 40 sheets (1,000 stamps) or if is a special production, very rare nevertheless, probably the largest known multiple, Scott Retail as four blocks of four and four singles

Am sending two on the envelope also.", Very Fine, according to our records the "Seals" were placed on sale July 10, 1930, an unusual "usage" and possibly unique

1930, 2c-10c Third and Fourth Guard Mail Issues (M5-M11). Third Issue plate no. blocks of six and ten, light tropical original gum as virtually always, Fourth Issue imprint and plate no. blocks of ten, Mint N.H., somewhat mixed centering, Fine lot, while there could be a maximum of 25,000 sets of singles of the Fourth Issue, it is believed that many were destroyed in Saipan, it seems the Japanese found a large supply on hand ten years later in 1941 at Guam and took the stamps to Saipan, the U.S. Marines in 1944 "blew" the Japanese Post Office safe in Saipan and liberated the stamps, they did not know what they had and it is rumored that they were discarded and presumed destroyed with the exception of an unknown quantity that was saved by a philatelic-minded Marine
