A search of auction catalogues for the past several years has demonstrated to us that this is one of the most difficult issues to obtain in such choice condition. It is easily one of the finest we have ever offered at auction.

With 1987 and 2000 P.F. certificates. Although this stamp is not graded, the highest grade awarded to date for a Mint N.H. Scott No. 279Bc is a 90.

The 10c was changed from Green (Scott No. 273) to Brown because the 1c denomination (Scott No. 279) was changed to Green to meet the UPU color scheme.

With 1985 and 1999 P.F. certificates. With 2004 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $1,700.00). Only two stamps have graded higher than a 90 in the P.S.E. Population Report (both 95) and only one other has graded 90.
