VERY FINE. A RARE APIA MUNICIPAL POST OFFICE USAGE FROM SAMOA TO GERMANY VIA THE UNITED STATES.

U.S. stamps were supplied by the U.S. Consulate in Apia. The census in the 2004 Odenweller Samoa book lists 24 Apia MPO covers, including 14 with the 5c Garfield (this is No. M16).
