VERY FINE EXAMPLE OF CONFEDERATE USAGE OF BRECKINRIDGE NORTHERN CAMPAIGN COVER.

Breckinridge and Lane were candidates of Southern Democrats' third party. Examples of the 1860 campaign envelopes were used in the Confederacy, and this is a very late (1862) date from a captain in the North Carolina Militia.

Buchanan, an exponent of states' rights, remained popular in the South during the war.
