EXTREMELY FINE. THIS IS THE LARGEST RECORDED MULTIPLE OF THE 20-CENT GENERAL ISSUE ON COVER. ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT AND SPECTACULAR CONFEDERATE GENERAL ISSUE COVERS IN EXISTENCE.
Ex Knapp (acquired privately by the Halls in April 1928). Unlisted in Scott or Dietz (the latter indicates that a strip of four on cover is the largest multiple).

Confederate General Issues on Cover. 60 covers and four fronts only, tremendous range of usages incl. No. 5 tied by "Montgomery Ala." 1862 circular datestamp; one cover and one front only each bearing 20c Green No. 13; nice group of No. 2 incl. few bearing Stone Y, one adversity cover with U.S. 3c stamp on inside, and two pairs (different shades) of No. 4; range of shades and usages of No. 1 incl. pairs, few other better, condition is mixed with toning and edge faults on most, still some are Fine-Very Fine, interesting group
